Well I started last week off with a bang. And by bang I mean that was the sound of my head hitting the pillow. I was tired from the busy weekend.
By Tuesday, I was already behind for the week with house work stuff.
So quickly after work I threw a big load of laundry in the wash.
I was so focused on thoroughly cleaning that apparently also cleaned my husband’s Ipod, in the washing machine.
I FELT terrible. But I got over it. I mean I washed his wallet like the second month we were married.
He is aware of my aggressive(aka air headed) cleaning methods.
Poppi is aware of it as well because his precious raw hides which he loves to “bury” all over the house have ended up in the washing machine too.
Basically, if you stand still long enough in my house you will probably end up in the laundry.
Thankfully, Joe revived the IPod with the faithful rice in a bag method. 24hrs of drying time was the trick.
The rest of the week went pretty well.
Although several times on Wednesday and Thursday I had to check myself to make sure I was not living in a BBC Office episode.
We had visitors from the UK in our office.
Words like bloke , car hire, cheeky, and cheerio! could be heard all over our office.
Then Saturday I spent most of the day with my mom at the outlets in Commerce, GA.
She stocked up on a bunch of clothes that she really needed, and Nancee Lee, Holly and I had fun pulling lots of clothes for her to try on.
Then Saturday night I made steaks, Cesar salad and cheesy corn for dinner.
I then made three dinners worth of meatballs to stick in the freezer.
Then I fell into bed for a much needed nap, never fell asleep and then got up to make cookies for our church group.
We raced out the door at 5 to make it to our meeting.
Then we had ice cream for dinner.
All in all, I know I killed my 1200 calorie diet on Sunday, but I think the Lord knew I needed a little indulgence.
PS. If you are new to the blog, I updated my about me page. Go check it out.
