Engagement Photos and Grace

I finally got my act together and scheduled our engagement photos. Actually, that was the easy part.

Preparing for the engagement photos is the hard part.

My main problem = I am never happy with the way I look. Please tell me I am not the only person with this problem.

I need to get over this dilemma. I need to apply the understanding that life is not all about me. I need to reflect the grace of God that has been shown to me, and also know that I was created the way I am for a reason. I have struggled with it my whole life but knowing the truth and applying to truth are two different things. I digress.

I wanted to look feminine but still chic and young so I finally settled on this dress from Piperlime.com after looking for dresses online and in stores for two weeks. Streamlined floral femininity.

  • The description said the model was 5 foot 9 inches tall so I knew for sure the dress would not be too short on my 5 foot 2 inch body. I also owned some yellow wedge sandals that I thought would look cute with it.
If only my legs looked like this:)
Fergie, Flutter Platforms, $39 Marshalls

Ralph Lauren Men’s Casual Chambray Stripe Shirt, $29.99 Marshalls

I approached the attire for the pictures like I would when I design a room. I come up a style and color plan and then build around that.

  • It’s like the dress=a sofa or drapes and the yellow shoes and chambray stripes= the accent pillows. It would make such a cute sunroom. Or a cute engagement picture:)

Wish me luck when it’s time to smile pretty on Saturday!
