Monday Randomness: Palmer’s Cocoa Butter Oil, Microwave Dinners and a 48 Hours Marathon

So the New Year started off pretty slow in our house; we took a vacation/staycation last week, and it was glorious.

I spent a few days at the beach with my family and then came home to enjoy a few quiet days around the house.

I accomplished a few piddly things, like organizing the kitchen and taking a big load of donations to Goodwill.

And the rest of the time was spent reading, napping and letting the dog out to go potty.

And because my husband is doing an extended juice fast right now, I have not been cooking.

#1 Because I have been lazy and #2 Because cooking/eating in front of him seems like a form of torture.

But I have been eating frozen dinners.

Which is the antithesis of juicing, I know.

But I have been juicing some as well and have lost about 8 lbs so far. Not bad for a start.

I have also been fighting a cold and ultra dry winter skin.

Can’t say I have gotten over the cold yet, but my skin is feeling MUCH better after discovering this product.

I apply it right after I get out of the shower. It’s not super greasy and absorbs pretty quickly.

I like it much better than this spray lotion by Vaseline which I tried for about 2 months.

And to top off our exciting first two weeks of the new year, I watched way too many episodes of 48 Hours murder mysteries. So much so that last night I dreamed that someone was in our house trying to get us.

Gotta lay off the mysteries for a while, I guess.

Happy Monday!
